JOIN US IN-PERSON FOR A PARENT WORKSHOP! Every parent wants the same thing: For their child to feel confident. To feel understood. To succeed — not just in school, but in life. And yet, when your child is learning English, the path can feel confusing... even overwhelming. You may wonder: Is my child on track? What do these test scores really mean? How can I help if English isn't my first language? You are not alone — and you are not powerless. Cicero District 99 is inviting families to a powerful BPAC Meeting focused on one thing that matters deeply: "How To Support Your Child's English Development". This is more than a meeting. It's a space for clarity, empowerment, and connection. You'll learn: How English proficiency is truly assessed. What ACCESS scores mean — and why they matter. How teachers use these results to support your child. Simple, meaningful ways to help at home. How to support your child even if you don't speak English. Presented by leaders who work every day for your children: Betty Paz, Multilingual Department Director. Alfonsita Jimenez, Multilingual Department Supervisor. Raffle prizes, refreshments, and snacks provided. Presentation in Spanish. When families understand, children thrive. When parents feel confident, students feel unstoppable. Even if you can't attend — this message matters. Because someone you love, or someone in your community, needs this information. This is how we show up for our children. This is how we build their future — together.
